Did we tell you that this band was made of Hugues (12XU), Benjamin (ex-Overmars), Cyprien (Moms On Meth) and Vincent (ex-Zombies are Pissed, Sport, Morse) ? Good friends playing really nasty and loud hardcore... we didn't have such local bands for years in Lyon. So stoked to release their first vinyl record together with Momo & Satomi's Flower Of Carnage in Japan.
Next on Echo Canyon – and co-released with Seb's Purepainsugar and Seb's RockNRoll Masturbation – will be the debut single of SEB AND THE RHAA DICKS. Seb is fun buddy to work with (he's a coworker for real!) who used to play in bands such as the Rubiks and KabuKiBuddah... He wrote some songs on his own that he first compiled on a demo tape last year and recruited the finest local musicians to form a band in order to record new tunes for that 7". Hard to discribe his songs though... I would say he's the only one who could manage to mix for the best his punk and 90s roots with some CCR influences... He's an ultime Minutemen / Mike Watt fan. Everything's been recorded at PWL in Lyon. Better than words, look at this video from a song off the demo tape :

we're super proud to announce you that the debut release called 'NACRE' of our buddies from ANCRE is available now. This is a co-release with ADAGIO 830 ! Records are pressed and screened, insert is printed, everything is assembled.
It's a really special release for us since we saw the band begin from the very beginning and start as a duo... who then become a trio when Simon came to play bass... They slept a good amount of nights at home during week end of practicing with all the evenings, parties, lunches and breakfast going with it. A very first release for this Toulouse / Lyon instrumental math-post-rocking band, somewhere between Maseratti and Sed Non Satiata... So this one-sided LP is made of 4 progressive and instrumental songs, each of it telling its own story... You can listen to Monotype Requin here :

You might know that already but it's made of Benoit from Daitro, Mihai Edrisch, Baton Rouge, Arnaud from Sed Non Satiata and Simon from Plebeian Grandstand, Montreal On Fire... so go and check them. Besides being an amazing band they're all great people.

ANCRE debut release is getting mixed as well. We didn't hear anything yet besides their first show but knowing Santi Garcia's work, it will sound great for sure. HUGUES PZZL is doing the artwork. It will still be a 1 sided 12" co-released with Germany'sADAGIO 830.
Also we should do an ABJECT OBJECT LP in 2012 as well as some other goodies !
It's not on Echo Canyon but it's still related though since Gwen and I play in these bands but 12XU first full length "Les Grandes Marées" LP / CD is available through PUREPAINSUGAR. time to give some news...
VEUVE SS debut release will finally be a one sided 12". The band recorded some extra songs and we finally decided to release them all on a 12" rather than a 7" ! It will be mixed in Dead Air by our good buddy Will Killingsworth and it's of course still a corelease with Japan'sFLOWER OF CARNAGE .
ANCRE will record in august as well in Toulouse. It will be mixed and mastered at the Ultramarinos Costa Brava by our other good buddy Santi Garcia ! It will be another one sided 12" and we will share the release with Adagio830. They will be touring France and Spain in december so we'll try to have the record done for the tour.
The SED NON SATIATA s/t will be repressed in september or so... a new chance to get a copy for those who missed the first pressing !
By the way, we'll support OLD GROWTH on some shows for the tour in Europe this fall with 12XU. come and say hi if we play in
your city (some shows still have to be confirmed though)

Old Growth "out of the sand and into the streets" is finally available in Europe ! We're really stoked to be part of this great release and be one more time associated with them and Bakery Outlet. Expect a more rock oriented full length than the previous one, still influenced by Dead Moon and some good old classic daddy rock. Straight to the heart.
Records come in great grey or marble colors. They're issued of recycled vinyls. If you think the cover remembers you Superfuzz Bigmuff, you're damn straight buddy !
On our desk for sooner or later are two other releases... one from the nasty VEUVE SS featuring Hugues / 12XU singing. This one year old band is made of good old friends from Lyon and we're excited to be with them for their first vinyl release... They play good old gloomy hardcore. It will be a 7" that we will co-release with Flower Of Carnage for the Japanese distribution. The other release should be a one sided 12" from Ancre, which is a new band made of long time friends Benoit (Daïtro / Baton Rouge / Mihai Edrisch), Arnaud (Sed Non Satiata) and Simon (Montreal On Fire, Plebeian Grandstand). They play some progressive and rocking math indie something. They'll record their debut release in august and the songs will be mixed by Santi Garcia in Ultramarinos Studio in San Feliu de Guixols ! Last but no least, Benoit, Sam, Gwen and I released our debut full length with Baton Rouge on Purepainsugar and Bakery Outlet. We're all happy to have this done so fast. 12XU full length will be recorded in june as well. It will be out on Purepainsugar for Europe, Bakery Outlet for the US and Flower Of Carnage for Japan. very Last, 12XU boxset are almost ready ! they will contain the 4x7"es and a lot of bonus stuff thanks !

we'll take care of the european release of the 3rd OLD GROWTH full length! It will be a cooperative release with Bakery Outlet who will take care of the US. The record is getting mastered so it should be ready soon... Expect something close to Fred & Toody Cole's bands (aka Dead Moon, Pierced Arrows etc.), mixed with their own and unique vibe coming from hikes in Eastern Oregon or campfires on Rockaway Beach ! If you're going at the Fest in Gainesville, Florida or if you'll be around there late october, be sure not to miss the 12 Hour Turn reunion show. SED NON SATIATA LP is out now ! the long awaited s/t LP from the nicest french emopostrock band is out now. We've been talking about it for years and hardly believe now it's done and ready to be distributed. The result is 5 tracks of epic, dissonant, brutal yet beautiful music. An essential factor in what makes this album such a masterpiece is the way it is recorded and mixed. The guitars intertwine, the bass is thick, the drums pound away. Then the vocals enter, abrupt yet most certainly powerful. The emotion behind the singer's voice is undeniable, as he screams and yelps his way over equally dissonant duel guitar work. Another defining factor is the dual guitar interplay, much like the defining dual guitar work of obvious influence Envy. The way the instrumental section works together so perfectly, how everything is layered so perfectly and how the vocals fit the music so perfectly, as if battling with the instrumental prowess yet simultaneously complimenting the music so well. all copies come in dark blue vinyl. 500 copies in total this is a corelease with Protagonist for the US distribution and Adagio 830 for Europe !
12XU single series is OUT NOW and so... DONE ! the 2 last 7"es are available now as well. One song on each side and same process than the previous ones, silkscreened plastic cover with an artwork split in 4 parts that you can see now in its totality... wow!
